A leading manufacturer of components based in Cullompton. Manufacturing for different industries and products. This quality inspector position is opening up on a new sight and would be an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be an essential part of a developing team.

What is the purpose of the Quality Inspector?

The purpose of the quality inspector within the company is to be responsible, accountable, consultative, and informed. To manage and maintain the quality assurance function by monitoring quality outputs on the shop floor and raising any internal issues or queries to the production team lead and quality/site manager. Gathering and monitoring of data to assist in KPI reporting.

What are the responsibilities of the Quality Inspector?
  • Inspecting all parts from production for quality assurance prior to despatch.
  • Reporting quality concerns internally to machine operatives for process review.
  • Reporting quality issues from the shops floor to the quality manager and relevant production manager.
  • Recording quality issues from the shop floor to the quality manager and relevant production manager.
  • Recording quality issues on the company’s continuum portal and other data as requested or required.
  • Assisting the quality manager and production manager/ team lead with quality incident investigations
What experience will the Quality Inspector have?
  • Experience within high volume manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding manufacturing environment
  • Organised and practical
