What will the responsibilities be of the Health, Safety and environmental officer be?
- Maintain external HSE accreditations
- Investigate accidents and injuries and recommend corrections to problem areas
- Communicate hazard control information
- Undertake safety audits and correction of discrepancies
- Conduct HSE training
- Chair/Support for HSE for site committee
- Develop and implement 6S initiatives
- Conduct gap analysis/audits of systems
- Ensure Group HSE minimum standards are implemented on site
- Member of site emergency response team
- Creation, review and management of site risk assessments
- EHS representative for site customer and compliance audit
What skills, experience and qualifications will the Health, safety and environmental officer need?
- HSE experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge with ability to interpret legislation, regulation and law
- Ability to detect opportunities for safety/environmental improvements in production areas
- Drive the safety aspect of the preventive and predictive maintenance programs of company
- NEBOSH certified
- 3 years HSE experience in a similar role
- Electronics experience is desirable
- Experience of delivering safety within a LEAN 6S culture - desirable
- 4 day working week
