Warehouse Operative Pay £12.00 per hour
Temp to Perm role based in Ilfracombe 
Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 5.30pm
 
 
About our Client :
 
A large company, this particular site in Ilfracombe has their research and development centre, making customized casting simulations, internal tooling, and providing a stockholding service. They have a diverse range of supplementary processes such as machining, heat treatment, plating, electro-polishing, non-destructive testing, and DPI. They invest in their employees long term development. 
 
What is the purpose of the Warehouse Operative/Wier Cell and Stores person: 
Organising and dispatching all good to shop floor or to sent to shipping
 
What is the responsibility of the Warehouse Operative?
  • Support supply and demand through Weir, machining and Inspection stages including using the bespoke Kanban process and control boards.
  • De-cant and sort returns from Sub-con treatment processes including organising the supporting documentation
  • Inspect prepare Wier parts for machining – visual and put-into-round ( I.D. welding needs, rework and scrap).
  • Raise PO’s for in-house/subcon Machining and organise delivery to provider.
  • Support the flow of part numbers through the finishing value stream Cells.
  • Clean, final inspect, pack and palletise for transportation.
  • Completion of supporting documentation for expediting orders including transport needs
  • Other duties can include consumable stocktake, consumable replenishment and general stores duties etc.
What are the qualifications and experience required for a Warehouse Operative?
  • Previous experience in warehouse is an advantage
  • Eye for details
  • Basic keyboard use on our MRP system.
  • Having a driving licence and/or Fork Lift licence would be beneficial but not required
What will you get in return:
