£15.00+ DOE per hour 39 hours per week.
Plus overtime at over time rate
Early finish Friday
0700 -1600 Mon - Thurs 0700 -12.00 Friday

What will the Welder do?
- Interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Understanding of thin gauge sheet mild steel metal welding both TIG and MIG metal cutting, forming and assembly techniques.
- Decide how materials and available equipment can be used to produce the required compounds efficiently and cost effectively.
- Set equipment safely for other operators to use.
- Safely operate and maintain production equipment.
- Measure and inspect raw materials, in process materials and finished parts to ensure conformity with technical drawings.
- Understand QC inspection techniques.
- Ability to work at a good production pace required to achieve high, medium and low volumes in a timely manner.
- Ability to produce durable and accurate manufacturing jigs and fixtures that ensure production of accurate parts in a timely manner.
- Requires strong maths skills, preferably to O’ Level GCSE pass grade.
- Requires good English skills
- Preferably achieved a Technical Apprenticeship or recognised industry training.
- Alternatively 5+ years experience in a production sheet metal environment.
Demonstrated ability in the following:
- To read, understand interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in working with thin gauge mild steel sheet and tube between 0.9mm and 5mm
- Experience in setting welding equipment for both TIG and MIG welding.
- Experience in Fusion TIG welding.
- Ability to work to high precision tolerances and understand how to achieve and maintain these.
- Proficient use of measurement equipment.
