Mental Health Awareness Week

Back to Blogs

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, a week to show our support and raise awareness.

Statistics show that 1 in 4 people will suffer with mental health issues every year and one of the causes can be work related issues. Promoting positive mental health within the workplace is therefore said to be beneficial. Employees with good mental health are likely to be happier at work, more productive, have high levels of performance and good attendance levels. Taking steps such as understanding mental health, commitment to improving mental health, educating the workforce about mental health and knowing where to find the support is so important in the workplace. Reducing stress levels within the workplace can help towards a happier, more positive and productive environment.

Mental health is just as important as your physical health and there are lots of support helplines out there such as: Mind: Mental Health Charity in England and Wales & NHS Choices.
